Franconia Ridge Loop will be getting some significant upgrades

The Franconia Ridge Loop — named one of the world’s best hikes by National Geographic in 2017 — will be getting some significant upgrades over the next five years. Early last week, legislation that included $1.1 million in federal budget appropriations for repair and realignment of the loop was signed into law by President Joe Biden. According to a press release, the work will be coordinated and led by the Appalachian Mountain Club under the direction of the United States Forest Service.
